What you will do

• Manage and execute federal financial statement audits, including planning and testing per GAGAS and FAM.
• Ensure the quality and timely completion of all workpapers, findings, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain detailed workplans, monitoring progress and mitigating risks to timelines.
• Supervise, coach, and develop staff through delegation and real-time feedback.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for client personnel and engagement leadership.
• Apply FCRA knowledge to evaluate subsidy costs, reestimates, and related financial disclosures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting preferred).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience performing external federal financial statement audits under GAGAS and FAM.
• Demonstrated expertise in Federal Credit Reform Act (FCRA) balances.
• Ability to pass requisite federal background checks.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FASAB Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards.
• Experience with GAO’s Government Auditing Standards (GAS) and the Financial Audit Manual (FAM).
• Familiarity with AICPA’s AU-Cs and GAO’s FISCAM.
• Understanding of OMB bulletins and circulars, including Bulletin 24-02.
