Salary: $168,000 — $210,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design and develop distributed, cloud-native backend services for the Identity and Trust Platform.
• Define foundational data models and APIs to serve as the single system of record for users and entities.
• Migrate identity and customer lifecycle logic from legacy systems into observable, platform-first services.
• Implement core platform capabilities, including the unified entitlements layer and compliance context.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and engineering teams to standardize integration patterns.
• Mentor junior engineers to foster growth within the foundational platform team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a deep focus on backend systems.
• Hands-on experience building and operating modern, cloud-native, highly-available distributed systems.
• Proven track record of delivering complex features in large-scale, regulated environments.
• Strong proficiency in API design and integration using REST and/or gRPC.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model (10+ days per month in-office).

Nice to have

• Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in Go, Kotlin, C#, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, SNS/SQS).
• Domain knowledge in fintech, regtech, KYC/KYB, or identity verification.
