What you will do

• Design and scale distributed, event-driven systems to process hundreds of millions of events daily.
• Optimize order routing and market data distribution to achieve significant improvements in latency and throughput.
• Lead reliability initiatives, including production on-call, logging, and deployment standardization.
• Partner with Core Exchange and Infra teams to integrate connectivity systems with the broader platform.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, hiring, and setting technical direction while remaining hands-on.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with a track record of architecting high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in event-driven architectures and streaming platforms like Kafka, gRPC, DynamoDB, and Redis.
• Strong operational ownership, including experience with production on-call and reliability engineering.
• Experience working with exchange or market connectivity concerns such as order routing and rate limiting.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience in trading systems, HFT, or other latency-sensitive domains.
• Familiarity with Protobuf and deploying systems in cloud environments like AWS or GCP.
