What you will do
- Design, implement, and operate critical scalable services including user identity and friend graphs.
- Collaborate across teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions and evaluate trade-offs.
- Ensure high quality through rigorous testing, debugging, and upholding standards for code correctness.
- Apply best practices for system availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate engineering velocity and improve development workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical work experience.
- 6+ years of post-Bachelor's software development experience (or 5+ post-Master's / 2+ post-PhD).
- Proven experience with distributed systems and large-scale microservices.
- Proficiency in Java, C++, and/or Python.
- Experience with NoSQL solutions, Memcache/Redis, Kubernetes, or Google/AWS services.
- Ability to work from a physical office 4+ days per week (Default Together policy).
