What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate critical scalable services including user identity and friend graphs.
• Collaborate across teams to evaluate trade-offs and deliver solutions for innovative products.
• Test and debug work to maintain high standards of quality and correctness.
• Apply best practices for system availability, scalability, and cost management.
• Utilize AI tools to streamline development and ship scalable services while auditing output for security and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience (or 1+ year with a Master's).
• Proven experience with distributed systems and operating highly-available systems at scale.
• Ability to independently execute medium-sized features over multiple weeks.
• Capacity to audit AI-generated code for architectural integrity and security risks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, C++, or Python.
• Familiarity with NoSQL, Memcache, Redis, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Google Cloud or AWS services.
