What you will do

• Lead the metadata and discovery platform, including catalog, auto-classification, and stewardship workflows for humans and AI agents.
• Own the Trust Center to provide a unified Trust API across the full data quality and observability stack.
• Build a semantic trust layer that provides canonical metric definitions accessible via natural language and Agentforce.
• Direct a team utilizing AI as an operating model, incorporating governed AI-assisted development and self-healing pipelines.
• Align multi-year platform strategy with CDO and CIO-level stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional engineering experience, including significant leadership at the Director level.
• Demonstrated experience building enterprise-scale data infrastructure, such as catalogs, governance, or observability tools.
• Proven experience leading a team through an AI transformation of their operating and shipping models.
• Experience working in federated environments where platform and domain teams share accountability.
• Track record of engaging executive stakeholders (CDO, CIO level) on platform strategy.
• A related technical degree.

Nice to have

• Hands-on familiarity with dbt, Snowflake, or agent infrastructure built on MCP.
• Experience with semantic layers, knowledge graphs, or ontology-driven data architectures.
• External contributions through publishing, speaking, or open-source work in AI infrastructure or data governance.
