Salary: $146,000 – $182,000

What you will do

• Design and build scalable backend APIs for trail navigation and land-use intelligence.
• Own end-to-end delivery of complex backend features from architecture and design through deployment.
• Collaborate with mobile and frontend engineers to define API contracts and integration patterns.
• Participate in architectural decisions for the Offroad platform to align with broader strategy.
• Improve system observability, monitoring, and alerting to ensure high availability.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and design feedback.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience focusing on distributed cloud computing and API development.
• Proficiency in Go lang.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Permanent US work authorization and US residence are conditions of employment.
• B.S., M.S., or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field.
• Experience building and debugging distributed, scalable, highly available microservices.

Nice to have

• Experience with geospatial data formats and tools (PostGIS, GeoJSON, vector tiles).
• Familiarity with offline-first or sync-heavy mobile architectures.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
