What you will do

• Drive the design and implementation of a greenfield billing service using modern microservices.
• Build and maintain core billing infrastructure used by other product teams.
• Triage and resolve billing support tickets, escalating to payments teams when necessary.
• Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to translate complex accounting requirements into technical solutions.
• Utilize AI tools like Claude and Cursor as the primary development environment.

Requirements

• Must be based in Latin America
• Strong system design skills with the ability to explain architectural tradeoffs.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience shipping complex systems, not just individual features.
• High proficiency in using AI coding assistants like Claude or Cursor as a primary interface.

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech, payments, fraud, or billing systems.
• Background in Java or Kotlin.
• Experience with Terraform, Datadog, or Splunk.
