TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Java/AWS): Designing and building core backend services and data infrastructure for a cloud-native financial crime platform with an accent on scalability and high availability. Focus on distributed systems architecture, AWS cloud native components, and ensuring enterprise-grade quality for leading financial institutions.

Location: Hybrid in Raanana, Israel (hirify.global-FLEX: 2 days office, 3 days remote)

What you will do

  • Lead the design and implementation of backend and data-centric components on AWS.
  • Own end-to-end delivery from requirements and architecture to deployment and monitoring.
  • Build scalable and observable services within the Actimize NXT Gen ecosystem.
  • Act as a technical authority, mentoring developers and guiding design discussions.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and microservice architectures.
  • Evaluate and introduce new AWS services and data technologies to drive innovation.

Requirements

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience with Java or similar JVM/OOP languages.
  • Strong expertise with AWS services such as DynamoDB, EKS, IAM, S3, and Lambda.
  • Hands-on experience with relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and system architecture.
  • Must be based in Raanana, Israel to comply with the hybrid work model.

  • Knowledge of data streaming or big data technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark).
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and Helm.
  • Background in SaaS product development.
  • Experience using AI-based development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude.
