What you will do

• Establish and maintain configuration baselines for all AI artifacts, including code, prompt libraries, model versions, and training datasets.
• Coordinate and control releases across pods, managing the promotion from development through staging to production.
• Implement strict change tracking for all AI artifacts to support audit and compliance requirements.
• Build and test robust rollback procedures to ensure production recovery is a known and reliable process.
• Govern CI/CD pipelines to ensure build, test, and deployment processes enforce configuration controls automatically.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software/Systems Engineering, or related field plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Production experience with configuration management, maintaining baselines, and controlling changes.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with versioning and artifact management for non-source code assets.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML systems and the specific CM approaches required for models and prompts.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries with compliance implications.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing and building configuration management systems from scratch.
