TL;DR

Technical Community Manager (AI/APIs): Building and leading a global developer community focused on APIs and AI agents with an accent on Discord growth and ambassador programs. Focus on designing engagement loops, driving product activation through community-led growth, and establishing hirify.global as the hub for AI agent development.

Location: Onsite in San Francisco, CA (In-office 5 days a week)

Salary: $175,000–$195,000 + equity

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end strategy for the Discord community, including onboarding, retention, and engagement rituals.
  • Build Ambassador and MVP programs from the ground up, recruiting and nurturing top technical advocates.
  • Lead the "Agents & APIs" community for developers building with AI agents, LLMs, and MCP servers.
  • Partner with Product and Growth teams to translate community engagement into measurable feature adoption.
  • Develop a UGC ecosystem encouraging members to create tutorials, blog posts, and open-source collections.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in developer community management or DevRel.
  • Proven experience running large-scale Discord communities using bots and native features.
  • Track record of building ambassador or MVP programs from scratch.
  • Strong technical communication skills for creating tutorials and announcements.
  • Data-driven approach to tracking community health and growth metrics.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI agents and LLM frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
  • Familiarity with hirify.global or similar API tools such as Insomnia or Bruno.
  • Background in software engineering or technical writing.
