What you will do

• Design secure-capture protocols integrating telephony, chat, and voice stacks for seamless payment conversations.
• Build and extend tokenization platform with per-token encryption and strict security controls.
• Own and enforce the security perimeter around cardholder-data environments with infrastructure-based controls.
• Develop auditable detection systems to prevent exposure of plaintext cardholder data in agent workflows.
• Drive platform features toward processor-agnostic charging, self-serve onboarding, and scalable deployments.
• Set technical direction on complex, ambiguous problems and create reusable abstractions across teams and customers.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco, CA, USA
• 7+ years experience building backend, platform, or infrastructure systems with high reliability in production.
• Strong security mindset with expertise in blast radius, least privilege, and secure design principles.
• Fluency in Go and experience owning distributed systems end to end.
• Experience in regulated or sensitive-data domains such as payments, PCI, tokenization, or healthcare PHI.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Expertise in applied cryptography, key management, voice/telephony, or cloud security.
• Experience building internal platforms, protocols, SDKs, or self-serve developer services.
