What you will do

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and validation of electronic assemblies and PCBs using schematics and technical documentation.
• Execute precision hand soldering and rework of SMT and through-hole components, including micro-pitch devices (QFN, BGA, 0201).
• Build, modify, and assemble electronic prototypes, cables, and test fixtures to support verification activities.
• Conduct board-level diagnostics and failure analysis using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
• Partner closely with engineers to support prototype bring-up and implement design modifications.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and document technical findings according to quality requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in electronics technician, lab support, or prototype development roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in troubleshooting analog and digital electronic circuits.
• Advanced micro-soldering and rework skills for fine-pitch electronic assemblies.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of material (BOM).
• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Irvine, CA, USA.

• Experience supporting prototype development in medical device or high-reliability regulated environments.
• Experience with failure analysis and complex laboratory test setup.
