Engineering Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: Hybrid in Libertyville, Illinois, United States; second shift

hirify.global's Engineered Solutions department supports engineering and production activities involving computer systems and hardware.

What you will do

• Request vendor quotes and prepare formal estimates for products and services.
• Create item and part numbers in hirify.global Foundry's intranet system.
• Create and maintain engineering work instructions and documentation.
• Execute performance and benchmark testing.
• Build and integrate computer components into systems and provide production support as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• 0–2 years of experience creating and working with product and service quotes.
• 0–2 years of experience building and integrating computer components into systems.
• Understanding of computer architecture, server hardware components, quality control, and computer assembly methods.
• Strong communication, listening, documentation, attention-to-detail, technical problem-solving, engineering change, risk management, and change management skills.
