TL;DR
Software Engineer (Node.js/React): Building a SaaS platform for financial advice and guidance with an accent on full-lifecycle software delivery and scalable serverless architecture. Salary: £45,000 - £67,000 / year

What you will do
- Own the full software lifecycle: designing, coding, testing, deploying, and running services in production.
- Develop non-trivial APIs, backend services, and frontend applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Collaborate in Agile cross-functional product teams with Product Managers and UX Designers.
- Refactor existing codebases to ensure long-term reliability and high test coverage.
- Review merge requests and provide technical feedback to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Ensure non-functional quality attributes including security, scalability, maintainability, and accessibility.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.
- Experience developing REST APIs and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
- Must be based in the UK with full right to work.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles and clean architecture patterns.
- Experience with unit/integration testing and mitigating OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities.
- Ability to use agentic coding assistants to boost delivery productivity.
Nice to have
- Exposure to AWS, serverless architecture, or Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, SST).
- Contributions to FOSS projects or technical writing.
- Understanding of financial regulations and accessibility best practices.
