What you will do

• Own and evolve the autonomy performance measurement framework, including metrics and dashboards for ship/no-ship decisions.
• Build and run the end-to-end performance improvement loop from issue detection and triage to root-cause investigation and fix.
• Lead cross-functional execution across AV core, robotics, robot software, and SRE teams to align roadmaps with performance outcomes.
• Define and enforce performance release gates, regression detection, and post-release monitoring for production deployments.
• Perform hands-on debugging and validation in code and analytics pipelines using Python, C++, and SQL.

Requirements

• Demonstrated cross-functional engineering leadership in achieving production outcomes without direct line management.
• Strong product orientation, connecting technical metrics to rider experience and launch readiness.
• Deep experience in autonomy/robotics performance debugging with real-world time-series signals.
• Strong technical foundations in learned systems and ML-driven robotics.
• Production fluency in Python, C++, and SQL.
• Location: Must be based in London, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience owning or co-owning releases to a production fleet of robots/vehicles.
• Familiarity with modern data/observability stacks like Databricks, SQL, and Grafana.
• Track record of building scalable triage systems in safety-critical environments.
