TL;DR
Product Engineer, Sales (GIS): Build customer-facing results portals and proposal tooling that make precipitation, flight tracks, and seeding plume dispersion understandable through interactive GIS experiences. Focus on greenfield product ownership across frontend (React/TypeScript) and enough backend to ship end-to-end, while solving complex geospatial data visualization and instrumentation challenges.

What you will do
- Own the platform shaping how prospects and customers experience , including interactive campaign visualizations, geospatial dashboards, operational summaries, and proposal tooling.
- Build customer-facing results portals with interactive GIS tooling for proposals and RFPs, layering operational data over terrain, watersheds, and target areas.
- Create a demo environment that enables sales to tell data-driven stories without engineering tickets.
- Develop and maintain a component library and visual identity for all external-facing software.
- Instrument the product to measure what resonates with prospects and drives pipeline.
Requirements
- End-to-end product ownership: frontend development with React and TypeScript, plus enough backend capability (Python or Node, databases, deployment) to deliver complete features.
- Shipped real work with data visualization and geospatial tools (e.g., D3, Mapbox, Deck.gl, Leaflet, or similar).
- Strong craft in UI/UX fundamentals: typography, color, whitespace, and interaction design.
- Comfort working in ambiguity with leadership-provided priorities rather than detailed PRDs and architecture docs.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience with atmospheric, meteorological, or environmental data.
- GIS or remote sensing background.
- Experience selling into government or working in environments where software is part of the sales process.
