What you will do

  • Serve as a proactive advocate for company priorities by engaging with Idaho legislators, executive agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute policy and appropriations strategies to address water supply challenges and state-level programs.
  • Drive involvement in legislative sessions and budget cycles to align policy initiatives with funding opportunities.
  • Build and sustain productive relationships with elected officials, industry associations, and community organizations.
  • Prepare and deliver testimony, policy briefs, and presentations to relevant committees and decision-making bodies.
  • Organize site visits and educational forums to highlight company innovations and project impacts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Idaho government relations, public policy, or legislative/executive roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully shaping or supporting state legislative and budgetary outcomes.
  • In-depth understanding of state policy frameworks intersecting with water supply, environmental protection, and agriculture.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees in political science, law, or related fields are a plus.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% or more for legislative sessions and stakeholder engagements.
  • Proactive and creative mindset for addressing challenges and pursuing new opportunities.
