What you will do

• Design and build scalable solutions and APIs using the Elixir Phoenix framework.
• Optimize PostgreSQL and Cassandra queries and create high-performance indices.
• Implement in-memory data stores like Redis to improve scalability and responsiveness.
• Debug issues across the entire stack using logging and monitoring tools.
• Perform peer code reviews and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to develop new features and programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience with Elixir building RESTful web services serving billions of requests per day.
• High-level experience with SQL infrastructure and data modeling.
• Ability to adapt quickly and be effective in a highly dynamic, ambiguous startup environment.
• Must be based in China or Hong Kong, or be willing to relocate.

Nice to have

• Experience with GoLang or Python.
• Expertise with video streaming libraries such as FFmpeg or GStreamer.
• Experience with video/audio codecs, live streaming encoders, and WebRTC.
• Experience working with AI/ML models and applications.
• Experience writing GraphQL queries and mutations.
