Focus on facilitating molecular genetic testing workflows and maintaining laboratory equipment under the supervision of licensed personnel.

Location: Must be based in South San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Salary: $27 – $31 USD per hour

What you will do

• Facilitate molecular genetic testing on clinical specimens under direct supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control activities.
• Prepare and store reagents while maintaining laboratory inventory and supplies.
• Identify and report specimen processing problems to ensure accurate test results.
• Complete administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and spreadsheet quality control.
• Support research and validation activities within the clinical laboratory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting working on the bench.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Ability to work a Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM schedule.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive hand/arm movements.
