TL;DR

What you will do

• Derive and document AD/DC electrical system requirements collaborating with multiple technical disciplines.
• Perform trade studies and develop optimal system architectures.
• Simulate, model, design, select, and characterize components.
• Design, implement, test, and integrate electrical components and subsystems.
• Participate in cross-functional technical design reviews and support integration activities.
• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and assist in project planning and oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of overall experience with at least 5+ years in Power system design and Design for EMI.
• Expertise in high-power systems (100 kW+), including AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and inverter/rectifier systems.
• Proficiency in simulation and layout tools such as Keysight ADS, HFSS, CST, MATLAB, Python, or PSpice.
• Experience with military standards including MIL-STD-461, 1399, 704, 1275, and 464.
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance are mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience translating test requirements into test procedures and operating test equipment.
• Experience coordinating root cause and corrective action investigations with suppliers.
• Experience analyzing systems requirements to develop power architecture for military applications.
• Familiarity with military power generation systems like HMETT A3 or AMMPS Generators.
