Field Service Engineer (Lithography)

TL;DR

Field Service Engineer (Lithography): Providing operational equipment support, repairs, and maintenance for semiconductor lithography systems with an accent on mechanical, electrical, and optical servicing. Focus on diagnosing complex system issues and ensuring maximum equipment performance in a clean room environment.

Location: Kumamoto, Japan. Must be onsite for 24/7 coverage.

What you will do

• Perform operational equipment support, performance monitoring, and mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and optical repairs.
• Diagnose complex problems and execute appropriate repairs to secure committed performance for the customer.
• Collaborate with co-workers and customers to isolate and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain local SOP/SPS/BKM workflows within the Fab team.
• Manage administrative duties including work orders, field service reports, and system problem reports.
• Assist and provide guidance to less experienced personnel.

Requirements

• Excellent English proficiency (verbal and non-verbal).
• Ability to work in a clean room environment for more than 50% of the time.
• Willingness to work shift rotations (12-hour Day/Night, 3-days on/3-days off).
• Legal authorization to access US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) controlled technology.
• Strong analytical ability and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Japanese and/or Mandarin.
• Previous working experience in a TSMC Fab.
