TL;DR
Senior Library Manager (Power Platform): Leading the systems, services, and digital capabilities for Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) with an accent on the full lifecycle of technology systems and low-code services. Focus on optimizing digital workflows via Power Platform and ensuring sustainable digital service delivery.
Location: Hybrid; must be contractually aligned to the Milton Keynes Office with occasional attendance required (approx. 1 day per month).
Salary: £47,389 to £56,535

What you will do
- Lead the strategic development of Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) technology systems and practices.
- Oversee the design, configuration, and continuous improvement of KIM systems, repositories, and digital platforms.
- Drive the delivery of Power Platform and other low-code solutions to automate processes and enhance service delivery.
- Manage and motivate the KIM team, including recruitment, development planning, and performance reviews.
- Lead engagement with external technology providers and manage procurement of new digital solutions.
- Establish performance measures and governance frameworks to ensure service quality and compliance.
Requirements
- Higher education qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience leading or supporting the delivery of digital solutions, specifically Power Platform or other low-code services.
- Knowledge of modern application development practices, methodologies, and delivery processes.
- Experience working with Information Security and Information Rights compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership experience in technical, digital, or project-based teams.
- Awareness of emerging digital and AI opportunities and risks in knowledge and information management.
Nice to have
- Experience in data analysis, indexing, metadata, or information architecture.
- Knowledge of metadata standards such as MARC or Dublin Core.
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2) or proven project management experience.
