Design Lead (Cybersecurity)

Design Lead (Cybersecurity): Leading a design team for HashiCorp's security products (Vault, Boundary) with an accent on Zero Trust security and identity management. Focus on solving complex technical challenges for SecOps and Platform Engineer personas while balancing security and developer experience.

What you will do

• Lead a design team dedicated to the HashiCorp security suite, specifically Vault and Boundary.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to set priorities, goals, and roadmaps from early concepts to GA release.
• Own the end-to-end design process, delivering research plans, user flows, mockups, and prototypes.
• Deliver practical and elegant solutions for technical users via generative research, user testing, and analytics.
• Partner with engineers to ensure feasibility, responsiveness, and technical precision of components.

Requirements

• Experience designing complex technical experiences for enterprise IT and security products.
• Deep understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM), including OIDC, SAML, LDAP and RBAC/ABAC patterns.
• Familiarity with the lifecycle of secrets management, including rotation and dynamic secrets.
• Ability to design scalable frameworks and patterns that work across a multi-product ecosystem.
• Must have the ability to work in the US without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

• Master's Degree.
• Experience utilizing and contributing to enterprise-grade design systems such as hirify.global Carbon.
