About the Role
In this role you will lead market entry and growth in Nigeria, build and maintain banking and PSP networks, onboard high value commercial clients, collaborate with regulators to obtain licensing, oversee daily operations and app performance, set the operational budget and marketing strategies, and collaborate cross functionally to drive sustainable growth.
Requirements
- 5 years of work experience in leadership or management roles
- A general knowledge base of fintech, crypto, or the financial services industry
- Outstanding leadership and general management skills
- Excellent communication collaboration negotiation and networking skills
- Excellent research, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
- Highly adaptable, flexible, and resilient
Responsibilities
- Align local market goals with regulatory requirements and customer needs while shaping the operational strategy.
- Establish and maintain banking and PSP networks and manage bank accounts and PSP integrations for load shading and backup.
- Acquire and onboard high value commercial clients for B2B and commercial transactions and maintain relationships.
- Collaborate with the legal team to engage regulators and maintain professional relationships with authorities.
- Oversee daily operations and monitor app performance to identify and fix malfunctions and prevent financial losses.
- Identify and resolve market-related issues and report findings to the VP of Operations and other stakeholders.
- Set and monitor the country’s operational budget, revenue, and expenses and develop marketing and sales strategies to increase brand recognition and client acquisition.
- Build and sustain relationships with regulators, government authorities, business associations, and media, representing the brand.
- Collaborate with other functions and lead cross-functional multicultural teams while fostering a positive company culture.
