Location: Hybrid (Warren, Michigan). Must be able to report to local office (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).

What you will do

• Lead the planning and execution of full vehicle and subsystems CAE models for various programs.
• Develop robust statements of requirements by collaborating with VDDV and cross-functional teams.
• Manage and leverage globally distributed teams for model builds while proactively mitigating risks.
• Conduct root cause and preventive action summaries for safety, body, and trim structure models.
• Perform full virtual vehicle assembly, integration, and quality checks.
• Integrate new modelling technologies in alignment with technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a CAE Engineer, Specialist, Senior Analyst, or Project Leader.
• Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) theory and application for vehicle safety and subsystems.
• Proficiency with ANSA, HYPERMESH, LS-DYNA, Optistruct, NASTRAN, ABAQUS, Primer, Siemens NX, and Catia.
• Experience in project management and full vehicle assembly.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Warren, Michigan.
