What you will do

• Provide strategic direction for the Engineering department, ensuring alignment with FAA Part 121 regulations.
• Oversee the management of avionics, structures, systems, fleet reliability, interiors, and powerplant engineering.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Flight Operations to maintain fleet airworthiness.
• Develop and monitor maintenance programs to meet safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness standards.
• Manage end-to-end engineering projects, including resource allocation, budgets, and staffing.
• Create long-term engineering roadmaps and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 20+ years of experience in aircraft engineering.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in aircraft engineering.
• Expert knowledge of FAA Part 121 regulations and airworthiness directives.
• Proven experience overseeing multiple engineering disciplines (avionics, systems, powerplant).
• Experience with fleet management systems and reliability analysis.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Experience with Trax (M&E) control systems.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
• Familiarity with Airbus A220 and Embraer 190/195 aircraft systems.
