Salary: $144,320 - $240,092 USD (US), $172,955 - $246,625 CAD (Canada)

What you will do

• Own ambiguous, high-impact problem spaces across product and business domains from framing to implementation.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership to shape product strategy and anticipate challenges.
• Design and evaluate randomized controlled experiments to measure the impact of product and strategic changes.
• Analyze product data to uncover root causes of metric movements and usage patterns.
• Develop tools, methodologies, and frameworks to enhance data-driven decision making across the company.
• Mentor other data scientists and instill industry best practices within the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in analytical or quantitative roles, with 5+ years as a Data Scientist.
• Track record of success at a senior or staff level of scope and autonomy.
• Expertise in statistical techniques including regression, hypothesis testing, and causal inference.
• Extensive experience using Python or R for data manipulation, modeling, and analysis.
• Strong communication skills to translate business needs into analytical questions for executives.
• Must be available for coordination hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-3pm Pacific Time.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience evaluating recommender systems via offline analysis and online experiments.
• Experience setting technical direction or strategy for a team or major workstream.
• Experience with large data sets and distributed computing tools like Presto or Trino.
• Active curiosity about the hirify.global product.
