What you will do

• Serve as the technical authority on experimentation methodology across the Consumer organization, setting standards for design and analysis.
• Solve high-complexity problems including spillover, network effects, and two-sided experimentation.
• Develop advanced causal inference methods for non-randomized settings, such as synthetic control and switchback experiments.
• Build and scale self-serve experimentation tools and platforms to increase velocity across product and engineering teams.
• Influence long-term product strategy by translating rigorous experimental results into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Mentor data scientists on causal reasoning, statistical rigor, and experimentation best practices.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or related field, or M.S. with equivalent expertise.
• 8+ years (for Ph.D.) or 12+ years (for M.S.) of industry experience in applied science or experimentation roles.
• Deep expertise in causal inference, including network interference, spillovers, and cluster randomization.
• Strong theoretical grounding in power analysis, variance reduction, and sequential testing.
• Expert knowledge of SQL and proficiency in R and/or Python.
• Must be based in Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have

• Published research in network experimentation or marketplace causal inference.
• Familiarity with Bayesian experimental methods, bandit algorithms, or adaptive designs.
• Experience with user-generated content platforms and community-level dynamics.
