What you will do

• Own and deliver quarterly goals, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended infrastructure problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to articulate technical constraints and trade-offs.
• Proactively identify and resolve project, process, or technology issues.
• Ensure the availability of security artifacts through monitoring, metrics, and on-call support.
• Establish and advocate for high code review and design standards across the team.
• Mentor and develop team talent through consistent feedback and guidance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Proven track record with distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes resource management, Helm charts, and operator patterns.
• Experience designing extensible technical plans for significant system components.
• Proficiency in making significant changes within a large codebase safely.
• Must be based in Canada.
