CNC Operator-2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Plan machining projects by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications.
• Set up machines by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, attachments, and indicating vices.
• Perform machining operations including drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing.
• Troubleshoot processes, adjust controls, and reprogram G-code or conversational programs.
• Operate auxiliary equipment including conventional mills, drill presses, and band saws.
• Document actions in production and quality logs to maintain continuity among work shifts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a CNC Operator Assistant or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Experience with G-code and/or conversational programming.
• Ability to work 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:45 PM to 12:45 AM.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
