IT & Security Consultant (Pre-Sales) (Cybersecurity): Designing and scoping managed IT and security services through structured discovery and business assessments with an accent on infrastructure modernization and risk remediation. Location: Onsite in Independence, Ohio. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 base (OTE exceeding $200,000)

What you will do

• Lead discovery workshops with executive and technical stakeholders to understand business goals and current-state operations.
• Develop prioritized remediation and modernization roadmaps using the Business Transformation Assessment (BTA) approach.
• Design managed services solutions across infrastructure, endpoint, cloud, identity, backup/DR, and security.
• Partner with delivery teams to validate feasibility and define onboarding and steady-state expectations.
• Create technical proposals, statements of work (SOW), and detailed solution documentation.
• Support sales strategy by qualifying fit, leading technical win plans, and delivering executive presentations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT and/or cybersecurity, progressing from hands-on technical roles to strategy and leadership.
• Proven ability to translate technical complexity into clear recommendations for executive audiences.
• Strong working knowledge of networking, Windows/Linux fundamentals, endpoint management, and backup/DR.
• Knowledge of modern security operations including EDR/MDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.

Nice to have

• Experience working in managed services or consulting environments.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft/Cisco/AWS/Azure certifications.
