What you will do

• Provide direct clinical care and manage a wide range of health problems for cardiac surgery patients.
• Conduct comprehensive health appraisals, including physical examinations and medical histories.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, and interpret laboratory tests, x-rays, and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and recovery strategies.
• Mentor graduate students and participate in quality improvement or research initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse/APRN or Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois.
• BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications required.
• Controlled substance license and DEA registration required.
• Credentialing through the Medical Staff Office (MSO).

Nice to have

• Experience in surgery, critical care, or the Operating Room (OR).
