Salary: $125,000 – $185,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct site inspections to determine the cause, origin, and extent of structural damage.
• Evaluate failure modes and contributing factors resulting from storms, fires, and design defects.
• Develop clear, well-supported conclusions and produce high-quality technical reports.
• Provide professional updates and manage expectations for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Manage projects independently from a home office while collaborating with internal experts.
• Contribute ideas to strengthen internal processes and tools to improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in TX required (or eligible by reciprocity).
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or restrictions.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 2+ years of forensic engineering experience (5–10 years preferred).
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills for high-stakes reporting.
• Ability to perform fieldwork, including roof inspections and working in confined spaces.

Nice to have

• Master of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Expert Witness experience.
