What you will do

• Lead engineers within the Guest Experience team, shaping the technical direction and architecture.
• Maintain a hands-on approach, contributing to the code for approximately 40% of the time.
• Build and optimize scalable, high-traffic systems for search and listing pages used by millions.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Stakeholders to enhance the user experience from search to booking.
• Implement and oversee modern engineering practices, including CI/CD and Kubernetes in cloud environments.

Requirements

• Must be based in Munich or able to maintain a hybrid presence (50% office).
• Strong experience in Engineering Management or as a Tech Lead.
• Deep technical background in either Java/Kotlin/Spring Boot or TypeScript/Node.js/React.
• Proven experience with scalable systems, cloud environments, and Kubernetes.
• English proficiency is required.
