What you will do

• Manage and support a team of 6 Data Engineers distributed across Europe.
• Drive execution excellence, implementing processes and metrics to support scalable and repeatable delivery.
• Lead efforts to improve pipeline reliability and reduce operational incidents.
• Foster a healthy team environment, managing workload and preventing burnout.
• Promote best practices around data ownership and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Engage in architecture reviews and contribute to technical decisions to maintain high engineering standards.

Requirements

• Must be based in Germany.
• Proven experience leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong background in data platforms, data pipelines, and data infrastructure (data lakes, warehousing).
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS).
• Deep understanding of organizational architecture and domain-driven design.
• Previous experience in a fast-moving startup environment.
