Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid (Alkmaar/Amsterdam). Must be based in the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and security governance.
• Perform and coordinate internal security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses.
• Maintain security policies and controls based on ISO 27001, NIS2, NIST, SOC1, and SOC2 frameworks.
• Advise operational management on security risks, compliance requirements, and improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate security-related projects and conduct security reviews, including vendor assessments.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness initiatives and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in information security, governance, risk, or compliance (GRC).
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIS2, NIST, SOC1, and SOC2.
• Fluent in Dutch (required) and English.
• Able to work from the Alkmaar headquarters and travel regularly to Amsterdam.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001.

Nice to have

• Experience with project management methodologies such as Prince II or Agile.
