What you will do

• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices into the development lifecycle.
• Lead security improvements in Azure hosting, focusing on identity, encryption, and platform hardening.
• Manage end-to-end vulnerability remediation from identification to resolution.
• Implement and maintain security scanning tools within CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct threat modeling and secure design reviews for new architectural initiatives.
• Provide hands-on investigation and corrective action during security incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.
• Proven hands-on experience in application and cloud security engineering with .NET.
• Strong expertise in Azure infrastructure security and CI/CD automation.
• Experience managing external penetration testing engagements.
• Must be currently living within commuting distance of Leiden, Netherlands.
• Strong English communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience with GRC frameworks and compliance standards like ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2.
