Software Engineer (C++)

Location: Hybrid role based in Stockholm, Sweden, or Vancouver, Canada

Salary: CAD 122,300–170,700 annually for British Columbia locations, including Vancouver and Victoria.

What you will do

• Develop systems for data management and game asset processing.
• Build and improve pipelines that transform source assets into game-ready data.
• Develop caching systems for built content and services supporting on-demand loading.
• Collaborate with game and hirify.global teams to understand needs and support technology adoption.
• Contribute to system design, implementation, testing, maintenance, and technical discussions.
• Take ownership of core functionality while developing and sharing domain expertise.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with C++ programming, data-oriented design, and software architecture.
• Experience building high-performing concurrent software.
• Experience with data processing and data management.
• Experience implementing databases or file systems.
• Experience with locally running web services and Azure.
• Comfort working in an established codebase and with Agile development practices.
