What you will do

• Advance ultra-realistic multi-agent simulations using large foundation models.
• Provide technical leadership on large-scale ML model architectures specifically for autonomous vehicles.
• Design and scale distributed systems covering the ML lifecycle, including planet-scale dataset generation and model training.
• Collaborate with Google DeepMind and hirify.global Realism Modeling teams in London and Oxford.
• Translate product and business goals into measurable technical deliverables and system alignments.
• Mentor junior engineers to grow their expertise and foster a collaborative culture.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in machine learning infrastructure, focusing on developing, scaling, training, and deploying large-scale systems.
• Must be able to work on-site in Mountain View, California.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of software engineering and 5+ years of ML infrastructure experience.
• Experience with DeepSpeed, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
• Expertise in distributed training techniques, gradient sharding, and ML accelerator profiling.
• Understanding of auto-regressive transformers and custom kernels for compute efficiency.
• Practical familiarity with Autonomous Driving, Simulations, and ML accelerators.
