Java Software Engineer

TL;DR

Java Software Engineer (Java/Spring): Implement new backend search and booking features and maintain hirify.global’s search and booking technology with an accent on speed, user experience, and third-party API integrations. Focus on building and improving Flights Metasearch capabilities through close collaboration with Product Managers and frontend teams.

Location: Berlin office (required to work from the office at least 3 days per week)

What you will do

• Implement new backend search and booking features under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Collaborate to improve existing features with a focus on speed and user experience.
• Assist in creating and maintaining integrations with third-party APIs.
• Work closely with Product Managers and frontend teams to improve the Flights Metasearch product.

Requirements

• Education in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience working with Java.
• Familiarity with the Spring framework and SQL databases.
• Ability and willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
• Hybrid requirement: work from the Berlin office at least 3 days per week.
