What you will do

• Support systems engineering, implementation, and lifecycle sustainment of the Cloud Data Pipeline (CDP).
• Execute technical tasks for data ingestion and sharing capabilities between source/recipient systems.
• Use Confluent platform and Apache Kafka to reduce information silos and consolidate data.
• Perform troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance for the CDP platform.
• Handle system configurations and administrative tasks for long-term CDP sustainment.
• Ensure all activities comply with USCG software implementation and security standards.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+).
• Foundational programming knowledge in Java, .NET, or Python.
• Basic understanding of system engineering, requirements analysis, and systems architecture.
• Ability to complete the USCG PUMP process for RBAC administrative accounts.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document technical procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs.
• Hands-on exposure to Confluent platform and Apache Kafka ecosystems.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures and federal IT modernization.
• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code or pipeline automation.
