Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 yearly

What you will do

• Edit and publish digital stories under tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
• Refine story structure, tone, and voice while ensuring legal and editorial standards.
• Create audience-focused headlines and leads aligned with the CNBC Make It brand.
• Identify emerging trends and assign compelling story angles in collaboration with reporters.
• Develop and execute recurring editorial franchises and content series.
• Copy edit and fact-check pieces to maintain high journalistic standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of editing experience in a digital newsroom or publishing environment.
• Exceptional writing and copyediting skills with the ability to produce clean copy quickly.
• Deep understanding of digital news production and journalistic standards.
• Proven ability to make complex financial and professional topics accessible.
• Experience editing both short and long-form content.
• Unrestricted US work authorization.

Nice to have

• Background in finance, economics, or financial planning.
• Experience working with certified financial experts (CFPs, tax pros).
• Proficiency in AP style and basic photo editing.
