What you will do

• Build optimization models to schedule assets across various available energy markets.
• Develop algorithmic trading strategies to effectively bring assets to the market.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build robust production systems and supporting data pipelines.
• Develop and manage demand and price forecasts to commercially optimize the portfolio.

Requirements

• Experience modeling business problems as mathematical optimization problems in a production environment.
• Proficiency with the Python data and optimization ecosystem.
• Experience working with relational databases and data lakes.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of the energy markets domain.
• Experience building automatic trading algorithms.
• Data science experience, particularly in time series modeling and forecasting.
• Backend engineering skills including REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and Kubernetes.
