Senior Distributed Systems Engineer / Tech Lead (Java/Python): Designing and leading the implementation of high-performance, scalable distributed systems for a global bidding platform with an accent on real-time auctions and observability. Focus on solving complex concurrency challenges, optimizing system performance for 20M+ requests per second, and ensuring high availability across geo-distributed clusters.

What you will do

• Design and lead implementation of system changes to improve performance, scalability, and observability for global ad tracking.
• Develop and maintain HTTP and gRPC services and batch jobs using Java and Python.
• Provide technical leadership by solving complex system challenges and scoping projects.
• Ensure high engineering standards through rigorous code reviews and monitoring of production systems.
• Optimize critical user performance metrics through the development of specialized tools.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of IT systems from hardware and software to algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of Internet protocols such as DNS and HTTP.
• Experience with concurrent programming and geo-distributed clusters.
• Ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize production systems for high scalability and availability.
• C1 level in English and Polish required.
• Must be based in Poland.

Nice to have

• Experience in the AdTech or Real Time Bidding (RTB) space.
• Experience contributing to Real User Monitoring (RUM) systems.
