hirify.global is building an AI-powered platform for healthcare operations that uses real-time location data (RTLS) and EHR integration to automate clinical workflows in hospitals.

What you will do

• Architect and implement streaming and batch data pipelines for high-volume real-time location telemetry.
• Design and maintain secure, HIPAA-compliant systems with encryption, audit logging, and proactive observability.
• Optimize performance and eliminate bottlenecks across streaming pipelines, microservices, and data stores.
• Build and maintain cloud-native AWS infrastructure using IaC tooling (Terraform, CDK).
• Develop event-driven systems using Kafka and Kafka Streams running in Kubernetes.
• Integrate with third-party hospital systems and clinical data feeds via REST APIs and webhooks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in Kafka, Kafka Streams, and event-driven architecture design.
• Strong Kubernetes skills for deploying and optimizing production workloads.
• Experience with Spring Boot or a comparable JVM microservices framework.
• Hands-on AWS experience including Infrastructure as Code.
• English: Strong written and verbal communication required.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements.
• AWS EMR experience (Spark, Flink, or large-scale batch compute).
• Experience integrating with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, HL7/FHIR).
• Background in healthcare IoT or real-time location systems.
