What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka.
• Own the data layer, including schema design, query optimization, and PostgreSQL migrations.
• Operate within a containerized cloud-native environment using Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technical solutions with product goals.
• Mentor team members and advocate for high code quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Java development experience (Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate).
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven patterns.
• Deep knowledge of JVM internals, memory management, and performance profiling.
• Proficiency with Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Docker/Kubernetes.
• English B2+ proficiency for team and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to critically evaluate and apply AI tools to enhance development productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin, DDD, CQRS, or Event Sourcing.
• Knowledge of gRPC, GraphQL, or MongoDB.
• Background in e-commerce, logistics, or fintech.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Spanner).
