What you will do

• Provide nursing care for patients with complex medical conditions on a 26-bed Medical Intermediate Unit.
• Monitor patients with clinical instability requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Perform frequent assessments and implement timely medical interventions.
• Manage post-operative needs and complex medical surgical cases.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years).
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal and analytic abilities.
• Ability to work night shifts (7p-7:30a) with rotating weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience in specific clinical areas.
• Certifications as Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) or Certified Emergency/Pediatric Nurse.
• Experience in Emergency Room or Pediatric Emergency Room.
