What you will do

• Lead distributed software modernization efforts across Combatant Command and mission-partner environments.
• Develop reusable engineering frameworks, modernization playbooks, and integration patterns.
• Align technical modernization strategies across multiple mission efforts and geographically dispersed stakeholders.
• Support cloud-native delivery, API integration, and secure software delivery (DevSecOps).
• Coordinate between operational leads, acquisition specialists, and technical delivery organizations.
• Provide executive-level reporting on modernization progress, operational risks, and technical integration.

Requirements

• Secret clearance is required to start.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture, platform engineering, or DevSecOps.
• 3+ years in a senior technical leadership role supporting complex mission-focused environments.
• Strong proficiency in cloud-native engineering, API integration, and CI/CD principles.
• Experience coordinating distributed technical teams across complex organizations.
• Must be based on-site in Arlington, VA.

Nice to have

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience within Combatant Command, joint, or operational defense environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled workflows in software delivery.
• Experience with command-and-control environments or distributed mission systems.
