What you will do

• Identify workflow bottlenecks in build, test, and release processes and build tools to measurably reduce toil.
• Create and maintain "golden paths" such as service templates, CLIs, libraries, and automation.
• Design reusable CI pipelines and deployment workflows, supporting progressive delivery patterns like canary and blue-green.
• Establish shared observability primitives (metrics, logs, traces) and standards to ensure services are production-ready by default.
• Build and improve core platform capabilities that enable efficient scaling of services.
• Own the developed systems end-to-end and ensure high reliability in production.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building production software in platform, devtools, or infrastructure roles.
• Strong coding ability in Python or TypeScript/JS and experience building developer-facing tooling.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems and designing scalable, reusable pipelines.
• Practical experience with production observability, instrumentation, alerting, and incident response.
• Proficiency with containers and modern cloud infrastructure, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience with monorepos, build systems, and large-scale CI performance optimization.
• Experience building internal developer portals and self-serve environments.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience applying AI-assisted tooling to improve engineering effectiveness.
